Founder

Dr. William Bradley

University: Bristol

About Me: I have really enjoyed being part of Thursday Fifteen for the last 3 years. It has been very exciting to see it grow and be able to help so many students around the UK and abroad. I look forward to reaching many more students this year!

Founder

Dr.Lizzy Wasson

Hospital: King’s College Hospital

University: Bristol

About Me: I set up Medic Teaching and Thursday Fifteen as I really enjoy medical education. I also think some of the best, most memorable learning I have gained is from Foundation Doctors who have recent experience and know how to remember the huge amount of information. I really enjoy keeping topics as simple as possible and passing on slightly ridiculous ways of remembering the huge curriculum.

President

Dr.Shehza Shafeek

About Me: I’m Shehza, an FY1 SFP doctor at North Manchester General Hospital. I first got interested in medical education at uni, where I saw how good teaching could transform confidence and make tough topics feel manageable. Since then, I’ve loved being involved in making learning more accessible and enjoyable for students and juniors.

Tutors Co-Lead

Dr. Bianca Buencamino

About me: Hi I’m Bianca! I’m currently an FY1 at Northern Care Alliance and I went to Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
I’m interested in anaesthetics as a specialty and love all things fitness, cooking and dance in my spare time! I wanted to join the MedTic committee because I think peer to peer, high quality teaching played a huge role during my time at medical school and is such a valuable aspect of learning. I’m really excited to work with the team and hopefully pass on all the tips and tricks that really helped us!

Tutors Co-Lead

Dr. Katherine Wostenholme

About Me: Hi! I’m currently an FY2 in Harrogate District Hospital, having gone to University in Sheffield.

I am particularly interested in women’s health and medical education. I wanted to join MedTic because I used the resources myself as a student and want to develop the sessions and resources further to help current students with their exams.

I know how important high yield sessions are in the huge medical school curriculum and am looking forward to helping structure and organise sessions as tutors lead.
